About 2 years into our married life we took a trip to East Texas to perform at a wedding. Amanda was about 6 months pregnant and very sick. At one in the morning, we were lost, almost out of gas, and praying to find a small motel to stay for the night. With $50 dollars in our pockets and nothing but each other, we finally saw a light in the distance that blinked "vacancy." As we lay down on the bed and began to drift off, we knew all we needed at that moment was each other. We would face tomorrow and it's trouble together, but for now, we were safe here tonight.
